The first from a new series of paintings focusing on the American Landscape. This particular painting is of a field, set in Illinois, not too far from the house where I grew up.

Update

The past two weeks have been very eventful. I took a trip that started in St. Louis, went on to Seattle, and finally through Orlando. I only get one vacation a year so I made the most of it. I have a full memory card of photos and tons of sketches. So new paintings are in the works and on the way. Also I have just finished updating my website at nickorban.com If anyone knows of an easy way to get rid of the annoying link boxes around my thumbnails let me know. I am just getting the hang of CSS.
