5 x 7 inch Oil Painting Study by Nick Orban
On a white gessoed 5x7 inch board,
I laid out the general shapes of the
buildings using a palette knife.
I continued to develop the composition, keeping in mind the values and color
temperature of the buildings and street.
The paint was becoming quite thick at this point.
Step 3
After covering the entire board with paint, I worked on bending the color and values. Then I added details by carefully placing highlights and shadows by using a brush and cleanly mixed paint.
